A 2007 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in kinesiology, Calhoun has a background in corporate fitness and strength and conditioning. He worked with the Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) football in the spring of 2007. 

Calhoun is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He is also a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the NSCA.  Calhoun is a certified healthcare provider through the American Heart Association (CPR, AED, and First Aid). 


Marc has been the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Salve Regina University since 2008. He is responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for the Seahawks football, men/women’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s ice hockey, field hockey, volleyball, and women’s lacrosse teams. Calhoun coordinates an internship program for those interested in the field of strength and conditioning while also managing the work-study students that work in the Fitness Center.
